Farewell Reception: Mark Mitsui
Sukanya Pani, Genevieve McFarland, Mark Mitsui and Nicole Ngonevolalath
EDI co-sponsored a farewell reception for North Seattle Community College President Mark Mitsui on July 17th at the Four Seas Restaurant. Mr. Mitsui recently resigned as President to take a top level position with the U.S. Department of Education. EDI's staff played a major role in organizing the event which was attended by over 100 community leaders including EDI's co- founder Ted Yamamura, as well as past and present EDI participants: Darryl Hue, Elaine Kitamura, Genevieve McFarland, Marci Nakano, Nicole Ngonevolalath, Sukanya Pani and Julie Pham. Alan Sugiyama was the emcee for the event.

Mark Martinez,Leadership Discovery, 2013 participant, has been promoted to Level 3 Business and Planning Analyst at The Boeing Company.
"This is the first promotion I received since I left the Marine Corps where I was able to stay at the same company. I am proud to work at Boeing and thankful for the insight EDI has given me on how to advance my career."
Hannah Wong,Leadership Discovery, Class of 2004, has been promoted to Director of Finance for 737 MAX, The Boeing Company.
"I am deeply appreciative of my EDI experience and the lasting relationships I formed through the program. EDI provided me the opportunity to enhance my self-knowledge and develop skills that have been invaluable to my career."

Annual Fundraiser - Inclusion Fusion
Make sure to register today for EDI's Inclusion Fusion. The event will be held on September 5th at Sodo Park.
For the fifth year, the Tateuchi Foundation will provide a scholarship to an API currently working in management for a nonprofit organization.
