ALUMNI ON THE MOVE

Jimmy Cho, Leadership Discovery, Class of 2006,  has been promoted to Senior Manager for Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Digital Aviation.

"I participated in EDI almost 9 years ago and I still value the important lessons I learned then as they are still relevant today. EDI helped me to gain perspective of my cultural values and to leverage it as a strength in the workplace.   EDI is a great program to help bridge the cultural divide as well as overall leadership development. Thank you EDI."

Thomas Chan, Leadership Discovery, Class of 2014, has been promoted to Program Planning & Control Manager on the Boeing 737 MAX Program.

"EDI has provided me the unique opportunity to help better understand my cultural background and values in a manner in which in which I've never truly reflected on before.  This self awareness that has been brought to light through EDI's wonderful guest speakers, the leadership staff and of course my classmates have provided me with the tools to help leverage my strengths and differentiate myself as a leader.  The learnings and expanded network of relationships that I've been able to build through EDI has been invaluable and inspires me to share it with others."

If you have received a promotion/award or know of an Alumni who did, please email Rebecca Dmello at [email protected].

AL'S COLUMN

It's recruitment time! I know that our 2015 class will not begin for another eight months but as all you alumni know, now is the time to start the process since most of the companies have multiple steps you have to take in order to be considered.  What you also may know is that our ALUMNI and FRIENDS, (that would be you),  are our number one recruiters! Yes without you we would have closed our doors years ago. Please continue to help us out and start to identify individuals you think would be good for our programs.  Help them with your internal process and also refer them to the EDI website to sign up. Marci and I are ready to start making company presentations. Can any of you take the lead in organizing an information session at your company?? I hope to hear from a whole bunch of you soon!

highlights stories of Asian Americans who have defied the "quiet" stereotypes and courageously stood up to injustice - as individual resisters or as part of organized movements for social change.
