On the road with
George and Carrie
EF President George de Lama and his wife Carrie Holt de Lama have been on the move over the last few weeks, visiting eight countries in February and March to meet with Fellows, Trustees, donors and other friends of EF from Taipei to Istanbul. In the process, they met with senior government officials in Sri Lanka and Pakistan and with Carrie’s Bollywood colleagues in India, collecting stories of impact from our Fellows and helping spread the word about Eisenhower Fellowships everywhere they went. Distinguished Fellow Award
Eisenhower Fellowships will honor Dr. Mari Pangestu of Indonesia as the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Fellow Award, the organization’s highest award for a Fellow.

Mari Pangestu is a deeply engaged Eisenhower Fellow with a distinguished career spanning 30 years in government, academia, diplomacy and private sector. She served as Indonesia’s Minister of Trade from 2004 to 2011, and as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy from 2011 until October 2014.

The Indonesia EF Chapter has benefitted enormously from Dr. Pangestu’s consistent support—she actively attends chapter events and her convening power has sparked new energy in the Indonesia Fellows group.

Youth Leaders
EF Youth Leaders have gone from strength to strength since their debut at the Future of Work conference in Malaga last year. Guided by their EF mentors and led by co-chairs Alberto Niego and Mihai Toader-Pasti, this impressive group of young people is taking full advantage of what EF has to offer and integrating into the EF network. Here we highlight just a few of the 32 young men and women selected to be part of EF’s inaugural Youth Leadership Network.

With the generous support of their EF mentors, the 2017 Youth Leaders are proving to be a strong, resourceful and ambitious network. Stay up to date on their #efjourney by keeping up with  t he website and by liking EF’s facebook page.
