W Encourager Header
Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-date information about region-wide events, prayer requests, and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.

Damascus Friends Church - Salem Campus
Grand Opening!

Damascus Friends Church launched a new campus: DFC - Salem this past Palm Sunday, 3/29/15. More than 50 volunteers helped prepare the building for the grand opening.
288 people were in attendance between the two services!

Pastor John Ryser (Damascus Friends) will "speak" each week from the main campus on a life-sized screen at the Salem Campus.

In the first service, 18 children paraded through the congregation waving palm branches in worship.

Thank you to Damascus Friends Church and Pastor Craig Henry (DFC-Salem Campus Pastor) for the pictures and updates!

A Little Extra.... QUOTE FOR THE WEEK:

"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities;

upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.
A ll we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one-to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." - Isaiah 53: 4-6 (ESV)

We hope you've enjoyed catching up with news from the EFC-ER office.
