Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-date information about region-wide events, prayer requests, and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.

News from the office:
* Pastors, Board Members, and Leaders: Last week you should have received a survey from Dr. Wayne Evans. Please look for it in your email. He would really like your feedback if you could take a minute to complete it. Thank you!
* District Superintendents: Please send Donna Neff ([email protected]) the 2015-2016 dates for your district rallies. We will be happy to promote them in anyway we can.

* We are mailing out the Spring Pastors Conf. Brochures & Men in Missions brochures and posters this week. By Wednesday afternoon, the website will include PDFs of brochures along with updated information.
Upcoming Events to keep in your prayers:
* February 28 - Exchanged: Christ-Centered Recovery Seminar
held at Providence EFC (Virginia Beach, VA) from 10am-12pm. Details to the right.
* March 20-22 - Reconnect Youth Leader Training hosted by Orange Friends Church. Reconnect is a weekend event for youth leaders hosted in Columbus, Ohio. The registration brochure and more information may be downloaded from our website: http://www.efcer.org/boards/friends-youth. NOTE: There are new hotel arrangements this year. See brochure for details. Youth Board: Chris King will send more information about meeting on Friday morning.
* March 21 - Taking Your Church to the Next Level: One-day seminar with Dr. Gary McIntosh from 8:30am-2:15pm at North Olmsted Friends Church. Details to the right. The registration deadline is March 11, 2015.

Keeping Prayer a High Priority
We trust that every church is sharing these prayer requests within their local prayer community. Here are this week's requests:
2 - Our prayers and sympathy to Emily Morrow, wife of Charles "Chuck" Morrow (Pension Board member from Raisin Valley Friends). Chuck passed away late last Tuesday night 2/10/15, and the funeral was held on Monday 2/16/15 in Adrian, Michigan. Come hear teaching from Pastor Mike Barnes on how a Biblical 12-step program can help those who struggle with addiction, co-dependency, PTSD, and a variety of emotional issues find spiritual answers for their emotional problems.
