W Encourager Header
Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-date information about region-wide events, prayer requests, and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.

Visit www.efcer.org/ym2015 to download all of the YM materials.

Children's Program Counselor Applications may be downloaded here. The applications may be returned to Kris Lackey at Canton First Friends Church (5455 Market Avenue N, Canton, OH 44714).

We hope everyone (not just pastors and delegates) will join us for Yearly Meeting, July 18-21, 2015. We will share a Mission Encounter, listen to a concert from Dick and Mel Tunney (http://www.tunneymusic.com), and worship and grow together as we learn to live "In Perspective."

EFM - Nepal Update
"The EFM Board gathered at Quaker Ridge, Colorado, May 28-30, for its first meeting of the year. Among the many reports given was one on EFM's relief efforts in Nepal. In the first thirty days following the initial earthquake, EFM's missionaries and the Nepali Friends leaders they work with have distributed aid to 617 families. They have received water to drink, rice, lentils, noodles, oil, and salt for their meals. They also received tarps, tents, and blankets. Many received tin for the roofs that they will need to replace. Not every family received all of these items; they were distributed in different combinations. Our attention is beginning to turn to longer-term needs. There are six Friends church buildings that need to be repaired or rebuilt as well as many, many homes. We want to do as much as we can to help with these needs. In the coming weeks we will let you know about specific projects and how you can help. In the meantime, we will continue to receive donations. Thanks again for your donations as well as your prayers. It is an honor to be a part of the body of Christ in times like these!" - Dan Cammack, Executive Director of EFM
