W Encourager Header
Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-the minute information about region-wide events, prayer requests and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.

New NEWS:

Reminders from last week:
Camp Gideon is still looking for... Sleeping Bags

Do you have extra Sleeping Bags?

Camp Gideon is looking for sleeping bags in good condition. We want to create a supply for campers who do not have one, forgot theirs, or had theirs inconvenienced.

If you do have sleeping bags you wish to donate, you can take them to The World Outreach Center in Canton, or bring them to Camp Gideon when you bring your camper down!

Thank you so much!

All Churches have received their 2014 Yearbooks.
(Please be sure to make the necessary updates to copies as they arrive at the church. Details and supplements have been included with each mailing.)

In Production Right now:
* Fall WMF Retreat Brochures for both the northern & southern locations are being designed and will be printed for distribution in June.
* WMF Circle of Friends will be mailed out early next week.
* Plans are well underway for Yearly Meeting, 2014. Expect to see copies of all materials and brochures in churches in early June.

Updated Website features!

* Updated "Contact us"  area of the website includes photos of the entire EFC-ER Office staff!

* Camp Gideon's Website has been updated! Special thanks to Britt Hornberger for the concept and follow-through!
     * The updated site has expanded explanations for kids/campers.
     * And a great summary of benefits of each camp for parents.
Now is the time to register for summer activities!
Check out the Camp Gideon schedule, review the Youth Ministry options and let's pray and plan to give kids meaningful memories this summer.
Please keep in mind that we will be needing teen volunteers to help with the Children's Ministry Program during Yearly Meeting. More details will be coming in the next few weeks. If you have teens who have a heart for children, save the Yearly Meeting dates (July 19-22) for them to volunteer.
Church Meal Coordinators:
Looking for a great way to organize meals for a family at church?
There's a wonderful website that will allow volunteers to log in, select a date & post what they're bringing.
There is also a place for meal recipients to list favorite foods or allergies, etc. Check it out!

A Special Prayer Request for this week:

EFM will be hosting their Board & Planning meeting in Colorado May 29-31. Several leaders from EFC-ER will be participating. Please pray for safety as they travel, energy to meet the daily schedule and God's clear leading and wisdom as they learn about future ministry opportunities.

LET'S MOVE INTO THE DIGITAL AGE... but not leave behind those without digital skills.
Please be sure to print out copies of this newsletter for those without access to a digital copy.
