EHS Summer Semester at a Glance
West Virginia Backpacking Trip
Thanks to the generosity of the Virginia Lopez Foundation , every summer our rising 8th graders spend a week backpacking in West Virginia under the guidance of Experience Learning.


"West Virginia inspired me to improve my leadership skills. I will always remember exploring the cave and hiking Spruce Knob Mountain with my fellow classmates."

2017 Brooks Fellows
In 2005, EHS Board Member Dede Brooks and her husband Michael started the Brooks Fellowship for Community Service which provides stipends for EHS alumni who work in summer internships at non-profit and community based organizations. EHS Welcomes New Trustees
Philip Vasan
Phil is Head of Investments and Portfolio Solutions for the US Wealth market at BlackRock, Inc. Phil holds a PhD in Economics from Harvard and a BA from Oberlin College where he currently serves on the Investment Committee. Phil was EHS Commencement Speaker in 2015 ( link to text of talk ). He and his wife Tina live in Manhattan with their son and daughter.
Jonathan Z. Cohen
Jonathan is Chairman, CEO and Founder of HEPCO Capital Management, an investment firm, making control investments in middle market companies and real estate. Mr. Cohen’s philanthropic endeavors include his role as Chairman of the Executive Committee of Lincoln Center Theater, a Trustee of The American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece and Trustee of Arete Foundation, a private family foundation.
