Opting Into ELS

United Way's Emerging Leaders Society (ELS) is a network of young professionals (from 21-40ish) who share a passion to build a stronger community in York County. Members leverage the power of United Way to connect, serve and grow -- both personally and professionally through their participation in ELS networking events, volunteer opportunities, and innovative leadership training. United Way members who contribute $250 or more and are anywhere between 21 and their 40's are encouraged to join ELS. Opting into ELS is easy, just contact our Volunteer Center Coordinator,
Zach Reynolds
at [email protected] or call 717-771-3812.

Emerging Leaders Society Member Spotlight
Marco Angelone
"My wife and I moved to York County in the fall of 2012. After living here for a little over a year, we knew this is where we wanted to live and raise a family.  We bought our home in May of 2014, welcomed our beautiful daughter in October of 2014 and haven't looked back.  I am currently a CPA for public accounting firm based out of Central PA, RKL, LLP, where I am a Supervisor in the Audit Department.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, golfing and going to the beach.

I'm proud to say that I work for a company that is as committed to the community as I am.  Through my employment with RKL, I gained exposure to the United Way.  Which ultimately led me to joining the committee for the Emerging Leaders Society.  From the short period we've lived in York, we could tell this was a tight knit community and I have felt the need to give back where I can to contribute to York's future success.  ELS provides me with that opportunity through volunteerism, networking, and charity. The ELS is an organization setup to bring young professionals together who are passionate about strengthening our community."
