Coming Soon: ENERGY STAR® for Multi-Family Buildings
Once again, the Ontario building industry is leading the way.
EnerQuality is collaborating with Natural Resources Canada, and partnering with IESO, to develop a pilot ENERGY STAR Multi-Family Buildings Program for mid/high-rise developers.
The ENERGY STAR Multi-Family Buildings Program will target new construction, focusing on Part 3 buildings, defined as buildings that exceed 600 square metres in building area or three storeys with major occupancies.
Did you know? Current ENERGY STAR is Comparable to Code
Did you know ENERGY STAR Version 12 is comparable to the Ontario Building Code package A6? For only about $150 more, you can achieve the ENERGY STAR standard on your homes.
Enroll your homes before the August 31, 2017 deadline, and have until August 31, 2019 - a full two years - to complete your build.
EnerQuality had the honour of sponsoring and volunteering at Doug Tarry Homes' Project Hope, a recent three-day build of a Net Zero Ready home.
Project Hope was a fundraiser spearheaded by Tarry for the family of late building inspector John Nooren of St. Thomas-Elgin area. The two-bedroom, 1,440-square-foot home will be sold and the proceeds donated to the Nooren family.
From 6am on June 9th to 4pm on the 11th, more than 600 people volunteered their time and services.
