January was full of activities at EOA Children's House.
Here are just a few highlights:
We were excited to receive a donation of new Usborne books from Cassie Ross. Our kiddos and our teachers love new books. Thank you!
A team of EOA Parents, Advocates, our Executive Director, and Social Work Interns attended the
Arkansas Kids Count Day at the Capitol. This day is dedicated to voicing the importance of
education, safety, health, and economic well-being for Arkansas children.
Dr. Ali with the Farmington Veterinary Clinic, along with her dog Sparky, visited us on January 31st. Dr. Ali showed the children some of the routine checks that an animal receives when they visit their doctor. Dr. Ali also showed the the kiddos some really neat x-rays of dogs and cats.
This exciting visit with a real veterinarian fit perfectly into the Community Helpers unit that the kids are currently learning. The kiddos loved this visit and we think Sparky did too!
