EXPECTATIONSEXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENTS IN EOC CLASSES
  • All students who are currently enrolled in a course that requires an EOC MUST report to school on-time each day for testing.
  • The EOC test will count 20% of a student's final grade.
  • Any student who misses a test and does not make it up by May 5 will receive a zero (0) for their test grade per Georgia state requirements.
TESTPREPPREPARING FOR ONLINE TESTING
All EOC testing will be completed online. Students, parents and teachers are encouraged to view the practice site to experience what the online testing will be like using the following link:
EOC PRACTICE TEST www.gaexperienceonline.com
*PLEASE NOTE: The test practice is available daily from 7:00AM to 10:00PM Eastern time. Also note that Google Chrome is the only supported browser for this public version of the DRC INSIGHT test engine. If you are using a browser other than Google Chrome, copy the link below into Google Chrome.

DEVICEPREPMAKE SURE YOUR DEVICE IS READY FOR TESTING!
Because students are using their FCS issued Microsoft Surface 3 Tablet for testing, it is VERY IMPORTANT that each student does their part to avoid issues during testing.
  1. Make sure the DRC icon is on the desktop! If the DRC icon is not on the device desktop, please see Mr. Tran in the Media Center BEFORE your test day! See video below.
  2. Make sure your device is FULLY CHARGED BEFORE your testing day.  You can insure that your device will be charged if you:
    • Power your device down COMPLETELY! Do not put it into sleep or hibernate mode while charging.
    • When you plug in your device, make sure the light on the power cord is illuminated.
    • See video below

REMINDOTHER REMINDERS FOR STUDENTS
  • Bring your own writing utensil.
  • Please go to your testing location at least 10 minutes prior to the testing start time.
  • If a student is scheduled for two tests on the same day, please see Mr. Fullilove in 4209.
  • Students can bring in something to read when they are finished testing. The reading material may not be related to the test that they are currently taking. Students may not use their writing utensil while they are reading.
  • Make sure all personal electronic devices are powered off and secured in your locker (preferred) or book bag. Students using their own electronic device during the test administration (even when they have finished the test) could have their test invalidated and receive a 0 for the EOC.
TIPSTIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL TESTING EXPERIENCE
As we push into the EOC and AP testing window, we thought it would be helpful to provide some advice to help our students navigate the next few weeks. While this isn't an exhaustive list, the hope is to share some ideas on how our students could best manage their stress as we head to the finish line of the 2016-2017 school year:
  • Study a little bit each day and don't stay up late; you need to get your rest and cramming never helps
  • Study in manageable chunks of time; take lots of breaks
  • Take breaks during study sessions to clear your mind
  • Join a study group
  • Make sure you know the help sessions and resources your teacher provides
  • Make a schedule for each class; set aside time to study for each class
  • Eliminate distractions like social media
  • Get enough sleep every night
  • Stay hydrated
  • Eat a good breakfast every morning
  • Come prepared with all of your needed supplies for the specific test, class and final
  • Be confident in YOUR ABILITIES! Believe that if you do your best you WILL BE SUCCESSFUL!
We wish ALL our students the best as we move into our testing window and the final push of second semester!
