Don't Miss This!  Students at the Center from Jobs for the Future
This month, our "Don't Miss This" resource is the Students at the Center: Teaching and Learning in the Era of the Common Core, a project of Jobs for the Future, where ESR Board of Directors member Adria Steinberg serves as Vice President of Pathways through Secondary.

 

Students at the Center's research and resources provide a powerful set of tools and insights to all educators engaged in planning the best ways to support students in the midst of complexity, pressure, and change. Based on a series of papers that renew attention to the importance of engaging each student in acquiring the skills, knowledge, and expertise needed for success in college and a career, Students at the Center synthesizes existing research on key components of student-centered approaches to learning. The papers that explore the latest understanding of and best practices for student-centered learning include:
