The seminar topics include e.g. Smart specialisation platform S³ for higher education Institutions, indicators on measuring the innovation capacity of HE, cooperation between higher education and regional actors and synergies between Horizon 2020 and structural funds.

EURASHE 28th Annual Conference in Tallinn (Estonia) on 19-20 April 2018 are open! 

The call for contributions and registrations for EURASHE 28th Annual Conference in Tallinn (Estonia) on 19-20 April 2018 are now open. The title of the conference is 'Partnerships for a Digital Future - Strategic role of professional higher education for society'. It will be a two-day conference focusing on e.g. the role and potential of universities of applied sciences, innovative approaches in teaching and learning, challenges brought by digitalisation and new competences and strategic partnerships with the world of work to support further development of PHE.

EURASHE events in Brussels mid-October:  Quality assurance community of practice and Round Table on Teaching & Learning

EURASHE organised multiple events in Brussels during 11-12 October.  The events included EURASHE Quality assurance community of practice, quality of HE working group meeting and Board meeting on Wednesday11 October. They were followed by EURASHE working group meetings on Employability & LLL and RDI, a Round Table on Teaching & Learning, Workshop on policy towards the Paris Ministerial Conference and the EURASHE General Assembly on Thursday 12 October. 

EURASHE 2nd UAS Leadership Forum

EURASHE organised the second UAS Leadership Forum in Brusssels on Wednesday 11 October.    The  forum is a platform for mutual sharing of views and experience regarding key strategic issues between presidents, rectors, vice-rectors and general directors of European universities of applied sciences.

The Forum discussions were preceded  by presentations from Adam Tyson, head of unit at DG EAC, European Commission and Maria da Graça Carvalho, member of the Unit "Scientific Advice Mechanism" of the DG RTD, European Commission.

EURASHE Committee for Strategic Advice

EURASHE Committee for Strategic Advice met in Brussels on 19 September in Brussels to discuss draft framework of EURASHE strategy, key issues for the policy paper for the Ministerial conference in 2018 and provided their input for the concept and focus of the EURASHE 2018 Annual conference, especially on topics of joint interest for academic community and the world of work. 

The committee also welcomed two new members joining the meeting for the first time;

EURASHE consultation for policy paper for the Paris Ministerial Conference 2018

EURASHE is drafting an overarching policy paper which will feed into the Bologna ministerial conference in March 2018.  You can participate in the policy paper by submitting  2-4 most important issues addressing barriers, challenges, opportunities, drivers for further development of professionally oriented higher education and its role within the system with a short description/comment for policy

T he final messages should address primarily the European Commission, governments and/or other stakeholders in order to make steps towards full release of the PHE potential and contribution to the society.


UAS4EUROPE survey for institutions

EURASHE has launched together with the UAS4EUROPE network a survey gathering data from institutions on collaboration with the world of work and applied research. The survey will only take a few minutes to reply.

The results of the survey will be used anonymously as the basis for future policy advocacy for the network.  


EURASHE supports the  Erasmusx10 campaign 

The Lifelong Learning Platform ( LLLP ) with members and partners of the Erasmus+ Coalition have launched a structured campaign to ask decision makers to increase the budget of the Erasmus+ Programme ahead of the next MFF negotiations. 

The Erasmusx10 campaign aims at gathering transnational support and increasing commitment from EU and national representatives in reinforcing the programme. You are invitatied to sign it, promote ithe campaign and ask your networks and students to join and stand for the enhanced opportunities for successful international exchange within the further Erasmus+ opportunities.

TEI of Western Greece in EUF  Open Space 2017

Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece (TEIWEST) had the opportunity to participate actively in the EUF Open Space 2017, a project incubation event that gives participants the opportunity to find out more about EU funding opportunities, discuss their own project ideas with colleagues from across Europe, and plan the next steps for submitting and managing project applications.


Eurochambres organised the 20th Networking Meeting of the European Network of IOs of the Programme in Athens on 5-6 October 2017. TEI of Western Greece participated as a guest organization active in the regional business ecosystem of Western Greece to present its actions at the open event.
