~ March 1, 2018 Updates ~
Hello EWC Supporters!
WOW .... winter is here and I'm happy to see some snow along with the cold temperatures we have been experiencing the past couple weeks!.

We have had our longest stretch of nights open and this is possible because of our volunteers in the center and the many others that help with donations of supplies and finances. THANK YOU from the guests that stay with us and the whole EWC team!

Tonight will be night #27 and it looks like we will be open many more nights in the next 10 days! Please check your calendar and help where you can.

Quick 2017-2018 Season Statistics:
~ Open for 26 nights (and open tonight)
~ 38 human guests and 4 dogs
~ Many guests stay more than one night, we have provided 144 nights of shelter, meals and kindness.
~ We have helped many guests with help out of the area, connection with longer term shelter solutions and another to connect with substance abuse treatment.
~ Additionally we provided warm clothing, basic necessities & connection to resources for many others every day of the year.

This is possible because of the generous support of so many!

Much Thanks & Warmth, Cathie

~ Homeless Task Force with Tahoe Forest hospital, Truckee police & fire and Project Mana to host a "Homeless Connect" event in the Spring and work together on addressing safety & needs of the areas homeless.

~ Coats & Winter gear collection for anyone in the community with a need.

~ Working with United For Action team to create "Blessing Bags" that will have basic necessities for homeless or in need neighbors. These will be given to community organizations that have the need for these items on hand for their clients.
