One last item to tease / tempt you with before we go: This week, CMC released photos of their forthcoming Ferrari 312P Spyder as driven by Mario Andretti and Chris Amon in it's first appearance at Sebring in 1969. The stunning Group 6 machine paired Ferrari's proven 3 litre Grand Prix engine with a combination monocoque / tube frame chassis and a sleek angular body. The beautiful new car took Pole Position for the Florida classic and despite teething problems and overheating caused by errant debris clogged in the ducting, finished second just a lap behind the John Wyer Ford GT40 driven by Ickx / Oliver but 3 laps clear of the third place Porsche 908/2 of Stommelen / Buzzetta / Ahrens.
CMC tells us we may see this model here in the US by the end of summer. Advance orders recommended.
M-095 - Ferrari 312P Spyder #25 - Sebring 1969 - Amon / Andretti - $459.00 Reserve HERE
That's it for now. See you at Road America next weekend!
