Know before you go! Get ready for EXPO.
The 2018 UMA Motorcoach EXPO in San Antonio, TX is next week. We hope you are as excited as we are for the upcoming show. Below is some important information that will make your trip in San Antonio as smooth as possible. 

Weather Looks Dry and Temperate

We're still a week out, but so far weather.com says we can look forward to a high of 65 and a low of 42 degrees. Sounds pretty nice!
What to Pack? Dress is Business Casual for All Events

Please note that the Welcome Reception at the Convention Center in the LDR and Grotto is a mix of indoor and outdoor space. Please dress accordingly. 

Shuttle Information
Complimentary shuttles will run from the airport (SAT) to UMA’s host hotels, Grand Hyatt San Antonio and the Marriott Rivercenter on Saturday, January 6 th  from 11 am – 7 pm .

Upon arrival at SAT please take the escalators down to baggage claim at either terminal (even if you do not check a bag), where you will be greeted by Star Shuttle staff. Staff will direct you to pick up your luggage and then have them gather inside the terminal where you will be escorted to the UMA shuttles.

REGISTRATION
Get your badge and get started!
You will be able to pick up your badge and other registration material at the UMA EXPO Registration Desk in the Lobby at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center. Registration will be open during the following times:
·         Saturday, January 6 – 10:30 am – 5:00 pm
·         Sunday, January 7 – 7:30 am – 6:45 pm
·         Monday, January 8 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
·         Tuesday January 9 – 8:00 am – 1:00pm
Pre-Registered attendees will be able to check in easier using our user-friendly check-in electronic express registration kiosks! When you arrive to registration area, search by your last name, and check-in! 
2018 UMA Motorcoach EXPO App     
The 2018 UMA Motorcoach EXPO App will greatly improve your experience at this year’s show. Please follow these simple steps to installing the 2018 UMA Motorcoach EXPO App on your mobile device.

1.      You will begin in the Apple Store/Google Play from your Apple/Android device and you will type in ‘UMA 2018’ in the search bar.
2.      The app will appear, and you will then select it to download for free.
3.      Once the download is complete, please create your profile by using an e-mail address. Once you have created a profile in the app, you will be able to connect it to one or more of the social networks (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ or Twitter)
Once you’ve completed creating your profile, you will also be able to:
  • Access all event information (schedule, maps, exhibitors)
  • Share photos, post messages, comment & like other users' posts
  • You can @mention other attendees in your post and they will receive a notification about it
  • Cross-post to other social networks (Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Connect & network with other attendees
  • Send private messages
  • Save participants' profiles as VCards to your phone
  • Take notes (you can #tag other attendees to document something about them)
  • Bookmark sessions, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees 
  • Set scheduled reminders for sessions & create a personalized schedule
  • Receive push notifications from the event organizer
  • Vote in polls & view voting statistics

UMA EXPO Exhibit Hall
EXPO is definitely the place to see all of the industry products and services in one place, at one time. Education Sessions
Our education sessions, better known as “solution sessions” cover a wide range of topics to help make your company more successful. This year, we have concurrent solution sessions that cover Operations, Finance, Marketing, Small Fleet Operator, and a Technology Track ; along with a full slot of sessions in the exhibit hall. Your full registration entitles you all-inclusive access to UMA’s Education Sessions!

Enjoy a casual get together and make lasting connections. The event will be hosted at the Grotto and the LDR Room at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center. This is a mix of indoor and outdoor space. UMA EXPO Opening, Legislative & Regulatory Update, and UMA Active Member Meeting
Sunday, January 7th, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM - Don't Miss!

Attendees will be brought up to speed on key federal legislative and regulatory initiatives during the Legislative & Regulatory Update. This will be followed by UMA’s annual membership meeting where you can hear updates from the leaders of your association.

We'll finish off the morning with Michael Dominguez of MGM Resorts who will share his economic insights about what lies ahead for our industry in the coming year.
UMA Luncheon
Sunday, January 7th, 12:30 PM - Don't Miss!

The UMA Luncheon keynote, 'Predictable Success' Author, Entrepreneur Les McKeown will help motorcoach operators understand how to achieve predictable success. The Luncheon also gives attendees the opportunity to enjoy lunch together while conversing about the latest industry news, technologies, and shared experiences as players in the industry.
 
UMA EXPO Sneak Preview After-Party!
Sunday, January 7th, 7:00 - 10:00 PM – An EXPO Highlight!

Join us after the Sneak Preview for our new After-Party! Gather with all your industry colleagues and friends for an evening filled with lots of wonderful food, drinks and fun! The party will be held at the one of kind Buckhorn Saloon and Museum. This year’s venue is totally Texas. The Buckhorn has been around for over 130 years and is known for it’s great food, spectacular wildlife exhibits and Texas Ranger Museum.
 
GO MOTORCOACH Fundraiser
Sunday, January 7th: Immediately following the Sneak Preview After-Party

Join us and raise your glass to the industry we know and love at the 4th Annual Go Motorcoach Fundraiser. The proceeds from this event will go directly towards the Go Motorcoach Campaign as they continue to create new and innovative ways to increase public awareness of the many positive aspects of traveling by motorcoach. The event will be held on Sunday, January 7th, at Pat O’Brien’s immediately following the UMA Motorcoach EXPO Sneak Preview After Party. The cost to attend will be $35 per person.
UMA Leadership Awards Celebration and Cigars & Cordials
Monday, January 8nd: Begins at 6:30 PM

Come toast the industry’s finest at UMA’s Leadership Awards Celebration where we will recognize the brightest in the motorcoach industry. The evening will conclude with the ever-popular cigars and cordials sponsored by Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations , LLC (BATO) as well as live entertainment. Dress attire is now business casual!
 
UMA Member Bus Operation Site Visit
Tuesday, January 9th: 12:15 PM

Take a tour of Star Shuttle’s nearby facility to see firsthand how another UMA operator member runs their operations. You will be guided through various departments where you will have the opportunity to interact and ask questions. The number of participants is limited is will be first come first served.
