Eagle News
Afternoon Walker Policy
In the coming week, we will be implementing a new safety plan for our students who are afternoon walkers . All families who have students that are walkers will be provided 2 passes that will state the child’s name and teacher. Individuals who are picking up these students will be required to have the child’s pass in hand when picking them up. This is an additional safety procedure we are putting in place with the intention of keeping our wonderful children safe.

Late Student Pick Up
Carpool riders and walkers should be picked up no later than 3:00 PM so that staff members can report to their scheduled afternoon meetings. Students who are picked up after 3:00 PM will be supervised in the rotunda by a member of the administrative team. Parents/Guardians will have to sign their child out in the “Late Pick Up” notebook.

We understand that unexpected emergencies occur and there will be times when a child is picked up late. In the event a parent/guardian will be late, the protocol is to call the front office staff to inform of the anticipated arrival
time. Parents/Guardians of students who are continuously picked up late will be asked to speak to the principal to address the concern. Thank you in advance for your support!
Here Comes the Bus
CMS families with children that ride a school bus can use a free bus tracking system ! Families can download the app and have access to real-time location of their child's bus on a map as well as scheduled and actual arrival times at their assigned stop and school.

Signing up is EASY! On your desktop computer, you can sign up here. You will need the district code ( 73877 ) and your student's ID number (located on any formal document from the school). For your smartphone or tablet, download the Here Comes the Bus app from the App Store or Google Play.

Once activated, you can customize or edit features, including how the app will communicate with you and the size of the notification radius around your bus stop.

More information is available on the CMS website .

Counselors provide classroom guidance lessons, individual/group counseling, parent consultation, and coordination of community resources for families in need. Health & Wellness
September is “Fruits and Veggies More Matters” month!
More than 90% of adults and children do not get the recommended daily amount of fruits and vegetables. Here’s a good rule of thumb: try and make half your child’s plate (or lunchbox!) fruits and vegetables. Fresh is best, but frozen or canned fruits and vegetables count too! For more information check out the More Matters website .
