2018-2019 Registration
1.     Registration paperwork was sent home with all students. Families who did not receive a packet and those who have questions are asked to contact the school office Please note, forms and fees are due by Jan. 31 for priority registration.  
2.     The 2018-2019 school calendar has been approved and is available here .
Non-Public School Scholarships
Non-public school scholarship applications under the State of Illinois Invest in Kids Act of 2017 become available at noon on Wed., Jan. 31. Complete information on the application process and required documentation is available here. To further assist families, Immanuel staff will be available in the school technology lab (second floor, room 254, use stairs across from the gym, next to the library) on Jan. 31, 6-7:30 PM to walk through the application process together.

Please remember that families who plan to apply for ILS Need-Based Tuition Assistance must apply for an Invest in Kids Scholarship first .

Teacher Appreciation
The Teacher Appreciation Committee is putting together booklets for each ILS teacher comprised of his/her students' favorite Bible verses. The teachers will be lifted by God's word and their students whenever they need some words of encouragement. Please complete and submit this form for each students' main/homeroom teacher. For fourth grade students, please complete the form twice, once for Mrs. Wert and once for Mr. Moser. A form may be completed for each additional teacher, e.g., PE teacher, music teacher, Mrs. Pohorsky, middle school Spanish, middle school math, Mrs. Laughlin, etc. Please complete and submit before Fri., Feb. 9. What's Happening at Immanuel
Bid4Talent Continues!
Four weekly blind auctions will offer goods and services offered by members of the Immanuel family. Items include quilts, a painting, photographs, jewelry—and more! Bidding opens Mondays (Jan. 29, Feb. 5) and ends Sundays (Feb. 4, 11). Items are displayed in the main church hallway and the school atrium. Proceeds benefit Immanuel's Investing in Discipleship campaign.

Middle School Open House and High School Fair
WED., JAN. 31, 6-7:30 PM
Immanuel Lutheran School is hosting a Middle School Open house for families looking ahead to middle school. ILS sixth graders will debate, Mr. Gutwein an d Mr. Moser will lead a STEM/STEAM activity, and Mrs. McFarland and Mrs. Randall will host a Trivia Challenge with a surprise ending!

Beginning at 7 PM in the Fellowship Hall, local non-public high school representatives, including ILS alumni, will be on hand to share information about what their school offers. Parents and students are invited to learn more about these additional high school options.

Check out Immanuel’s preschool program at the Preschool Open House. Parents are invited to tour the facility, see preschool classrooms in action, and learn more about how to help get children ready for preschool. Batavia Brotherhood Banquet
TUE., FEB. 20, 6:30 PM, HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, BATAVIA
The Batavia Brotherhood Banquet is an annual gathering of Christian men of all denominations to share in a meal and fellowship. This event is an extension of the long Batavia tradition of ecumenical gathering and cooperation.This year’s featured speaker is Pr. Hesham Shehab, pastor of Salam Christian Fellowship, an LCMS outreach to the Middle Eastern community. The title of Pr. Shehab’s talk is “Islamic Extremist to Follower of Christ: A Journey of Reconciliation.” Tickets are $15 and are available in the church office and from Elvin Harms and Terry Rueffer.
