Next Week in The Story
The Story is a compilation of the stories, poems, and teachings of the Bible condensed into accessible chapters. These chapters allow the reader to witness Bible events in the order in which they occurred. Each weekend at Immanuel during the 2017 2018 ministry year, a new chapter of The Story is introduced at worship. At Sunday School, Sunday adult Bible study, and during the week at Immanuel Lutheran School and weekday Bible studies, children and adults are delving into that same chapter; developing together as Disciples of Christ.
Deliverance: Moses

EXODUS 1-7, 10-17
The story of Moses is a story of deliverance—God allowed Moses’ mother to deliver a male baby in spite of the Pharaoh’s command against it. God used Moses’ sister to deliver the infant to a place of safety. God delivered Moses out of Egypt when his life was in danger. And then God used Moses to deliver the nation of Israel out of generations of slavery. All of these stories are part of God’s larger story of deliverance for us today.
