Preschool Splash gives prospective preschoolers and their parents a chance to get to know Immanuel's talented preschool staff, explore preschool classrooms, and interact in the preschool setting. Children will listen to a story, make a craft, and meet other children their age. Parents can talk with the principal and preschool teaching staff and learn how Immanuel can meet their child's needs and exceed their expectations. RSVP here .

PTL Read-A-Thon
The ILS PTL Read-A-Thon fundraiser brings students together with family and friends to encourage reading and build literacy skills. The main focus of the Read-A-Thon is for everyone to know Immanuel is committed to improving reading skills. The Read-A-Thon promises to be a fun, exciting journey for all participants as they begin a personal reading adventure that challenges each reader to complete ten reading sessions in two weeks--keep reading! Disco Night

 Bring a little boogie-woogie to Disco Night and win great prizes! Dress up if you wish, or come as you are. More information to come!
Preschool Pentathlon
Immanuel's preschool students will be participating in a Preschool Pentathlon and will compete in a variety of preschool-appropriate activities such as relay races, obstacle courses, and a scavenger hunt. Questions or would like to help? Contact Danielle Carstens, Martha Voelkner, or Sara Myatt--fellow preschool moms--or contact the school office.
Cinco de Mayo Celebration
Enjoy free tacos (first 400 people!), play in the bounce houses and at the slime table, take a whack at the piñata s and learn their Christian history, and enjoy performances by Hector David on the violin and street magician Joshua Talbot-Bowe! Volunteers are needed--contact Megan Popp to learn how to help. Also needed: donations of cases of water.
Called Teaching Position Available Fall 2018
Immanuel is accepting resumes and LEIF forms for a full-time Called teacher beginning August 2018. Minimum requirements are a BA in Education and state certification, but applicants who meet the guidelines for a Call will receive priority consideration. ILS K-8 Tuition Assistance
If a family does not qualify for a tax credit scholarship through Empower Illinois, they may then apply for tuition assistance from Immanuel through Smart Aid. The cost of the application, which is completed online, is $35 per family. The deadline for Smart Aid applications is Tue., May 1. This FREE family event will help you explore the outdoor world at Fermilab through hands-on exploration with nature. Visit the bison herd, net for pond critters, see how raptors see and so much more. Supported in part by  Fermilab Friends for Science Education , our affiliated not-for-profit organization. 
Explore Fermilab science from a kid's point of view! Bring the family for a guided tour of Lederman Science Center exhibits on the first Saturday of each month, 10 AM to noon. No registration is required.
