Communication Options

Info by Text?

Immanuel Lutheran School is looking into the option of texting families in the event of a school emergency or to communicate weather-related school closings. Families who would prefer their mobile telephone number is not included in this form of communication, are asked to contact the school office as soon as possible. Families will receive complete information about this plan in the coming weeks.
Eagle Info

Since Friday is a crazybusy day for everyone, Eagle Info is now being sent on Wednesdays. Parents will receive this mass email later in the day via the email address provided to the school office. In addition, a link to each week's issue is available at ilsbatavia.org/page/eagle_info. Please be sure to check this newsletter for important information each week.
Immanuel on The City

The City is Immanuel's internal, private social media and is a hub for ongoing classroom and organization information, #ImmanuelEvent news, prayer requests, and to sign-up for opportunities to serve. Families not previously on The City should have received an invitation. Those who did not receive the invitation or who are having trouble getting settled there are asked to contact the school office.

Volunteer Opportunities

Tuesday Lunchroom Helpers

Looking for an easy way to help get involved at Immanuel? Be a Tuesday Lunchroom Helper! Each Tuesday from September through May, the PTL organizes two to three volunteers to monitor the lunchroom so that the teachers can have a quiet period to do whatever they need to do (return phone calls, grade papers, eat lunch, just sit in silence, etc). Everyone is invited to sign up for as many or as few Tuesdays as they like--super easy! Please visit this link to sign up:  http://signup.com/go/uCm2g5

New Manna Program at Immanuel

The Manna company was bought out by a company called Shop with Scrip. Complete information about the new program was sent home with students. Like Manna, this program earns money for Immanuel and for each family participating; plus it boasts more than twelve pages of merchants. Immanuel thanks Megan Watson for coordinating this new fundraising program for ILCS. The first due date for physical cards or orders requiring payment by check is Mon., Aug. 28.

Office Updates

Morning Care Drop Off

Morning care drop-off will remain the same as it has been in the past. Children are to be dropped off at Door 3 by the flagpole near the school lobby entrance beginning at 7 AM. They must report to the fellowship hall between 7 and 8:20 AM (middle school until 8 AM). Morning care fees are incurred between 7 and 8 AM. K-5 children may go straight to class between 8:20 and 8:30 AM (middle school between 8 and 8:07 AM). After 8:30 AM students in K-8 must report to the school office accompanied by an adult for a pass.

Extended Care Pick Up

Please note that parents picking up children from Extended Care are now to enter and exit the building at Door 2, which is on the front of the building by the stop sign at the Fellowship Hall. This is to better monitor who is entering and exiting the school building after regular school hours.

Sport Pick Up

Parents who are picking up children from sports practices should enter the building at Door 3, which is by the flagpole near the school lobby entrance, and then they should go to the gym to receive their child. For their safety, coaches will be dismissing children directly to their parents.
