Summer Fun!
  • Balloon Golf: Use pool noodles, balloons and baskets to create a fun game!
  • Gardening: Bring out the shovels and let your child help you garden.
  • Pom Pom Sort: Paint some paper towel rolls and let your child sort pom-poms!
  • Car Race: Cut a pool noodle in two and race cars!

  Early Childhood CARES is hiring for a Parent Outreach Coordinator!

( Parent Preferred!)
 The position plans, organizes and hosts parent events and trainings, and writes the monthly newsletter. In addition, the outreach coordinator connects with new families in our program. Flexible schedule with some evening work.  The application deadline is July 1st .  For complete position announcement, qualifications and application instructions, see Administrative Program Assistant at the University of Oregon Human Resources website under Classified positions. This position will be posted around June 7th.


J oin The ARC's Families Connected Summer Co-op!

Families connected is putting together a calendar of fun community activities for the summer.  Come get together during community activities with other families who have children experiencing disability.

FREE Opportunity!
KITS: Kids In Transition To School
School readiness groups for children heading to Kindergarten Fall 2016. Children have the opportunity to practice early literacy, self-regulation and social skills! Parents participate in workshops to learn how to become more involved in their child's schooling, help create routines at home, and more!

Online Trainings
FACTOregon offers several online training opportunities for parents.  Check out their Great Start! Parent Empowerment Training Series :  An interactive four part training kit intended for families with children receiving early intervention/early childhood special education.

Free Screening for Siblings
Parents of children receiving services from Early Childhood CARES may request a free developmental screening for younger siblings.  Simply call 541-346-2578.  Spanish speaking families can call 541-346-0742.
About Us:
Early Childhood CARES provides early intervention  and early childhood special education to infants, toddlers and preschool age children in Lane County. Services are individually designed to address the needs of the young child with developmental delays or disabilities.  All services are free of charge to eligible children.
