Fun in All Seasons

A few years ago, I heard about the idea of a summer bucket list — a list of all the fun things you want to do before the end of summer. This year I decided to make a colorful poster of summer fun activities and hang it in our living room. That way I knew I would see it every day and be reminded. Then I put star stickers next to activities as they were completed. I love star stickers! This helped me remember to make fun a priority for our family. It also served as a visual reinforcement for me to see that, in fact, we did a lot of fun things this summer. I will try this again in fall (my favorite season!), and in each season throughout the year.

My fall fun list might include:
  • visit to the Eugene Saturday Market
  • hiking
  • biking
  • trip to the pumpkin patch
  • trick-or-treat
  • bake a pumpkin dessert
What about you?
