Early Voting Begins Today

Though the date of the Illinois primary election is March 15, 2016, today through  February 28th  early voting is taking place in Chicago at 69 W. Washington, and county-wide early voting begins on  February 29th.  You don't have to leave the 43rd Ward to cast your ballot early - the  Lincoln Park Library at 1150 W. Fullerton is also offering this service  Feb. 29 - March 12, 9 am - 5 pm, Monday - Saturday. If you are not registered to vote, you may register to vote at the early vote locations if you bring two forms of identification, including your current address.

Founded by three UChicago alumni in partnership with the Institute of Politics, BallotReady's mission is to make it easy to vote confidently by comparing all of the candidates on the ballot. Chicago Theatre Week

Chicago Theatre Week - a celebration of Chicago's dynamic theatre scene - in in full swing.  Presented by the League of Chicago Theatres in partnership with Choose Chicago, Chicago Theatre Week is currently running its fourth year through February 21. Productions in the 43rd Ward will be held at the Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln; Steppenwolf Theatre Company, 1650 N. Halsted; and The Theatre School and DePaul University, 2350 N. Racine. Lincoln Park Village Presents: Boost Your Brain Series

The Lincoln Park Village, which aims to empower residents over age 50,  is partnering with Mather LifeWays and UC-Berkeley in a research study to measure the impact of this eight-week course to help participants learn about important scientific findings related to "brain-healthy" behaviors.
