Epistrophy Nudes  |  David Beckley

Beckley uses long exposures to slowly build photographic images by playing with light and movement. Although most of Beckley's shoots focus on the banality of everyday things such as brushing your hair or getting dressed, by using long exposures he is able to introduce some chance and uncertainty to our everyday automatic repetitions. These images bring to mind our connection to, or lack thereof of something much bigger than us.

Epistrophy is the repetition of a word or phrase at the end of a written or musical passage, and An Epistrophy is the experience of seeing your own distance from the One.
