Earth Day family-friendly event launching new children's book Last Night I Swam with a Mermaid by Kimberly and Michael Muller. The Mullers have partnered with Philippe Cousteau's EarthEcho International whose mission is to "empower youth to take action that protects and restores our water planet." The day's festivities will include musical performances by Acqualillies synchronized swimmers, an acoustic set by Minnie Driver, Renee & Jeremy children's folk band, Music Galloway drum circle, Samantha Sheldon and Ben Lee, DJ Justin Warfield (She Wants Revenge); other activities include a treasure hunt hosted by Philippe Cousteau, Edible Gardens crafts, fossil dig hosted by Shark Angels, sustainable eco-education craft station, Sheswai mermaid manicures; a pop-up shop hosted by The Little Seed, featuring Maya Brenner's exclusive shark tooth designed necklaces, and other treasures; social media activation by Mulu.me raising funds for EarthEcho International; and a pop-up photo booth by Smashbox Studios.
A portion of proceeds from the silent auction, pop-up shop and suggested donation at arts & crafts booth will benefit EARTHECHO International
