After months of prep work, Bath goes plastic free on Sunday. Our vendors are included in the ban-so bring your own plastic-especially for the ice from Tracy at Pemaquid Lobster. And stop at the Community Room for a really nice, affordable market bag, or at Appleton & Pemaquid for insulated bags modestly priced.

Two more Markets and we move to the Waterfront Park, just a long block North on Commercial Street. Appleton Creamery, Goranson Farm, Tarbox Farm, are all still looking for apprentices/summer help. Touch base in person or via their websites if you or someone you know is seeking summer work.

Carol at Borealis notes that if you call the Waldoboro store,a few days ahead, she can bring you mini boules of just about any of their crusty sourdough loaves.

Sunflower and Buckwheat shoots are plentiful at Tarbox -check for their weekly batches of young herbs. Curly cress and Cilantro are Nice.
Versatile fruit syrups from Old Nrrow Gauge - a boon for the creative cook
Granite Kiss, laced with ash , creamy and spreadable, has returned to Appleton Creamery . Try it with your favorite crunchy loaf sliced thin.

Inexpensive creamy goat milk is available at Mainely Poultry -great for your own yogurt or kefir; nice for baking too.

Brian at Sparrow Farm has some little pullet eggs-they won't last so pick some up now-yes you may need more but they have good flavor.
