Finally feels like spring-just in itme for our final market at the Freight Shed. Next week finds us at Waterfront Park-a quick walk north. Bring a sweater or wrap to guard agains the wind off the river.

It's official-no plastic bags in Bath.. Bring your own, or pick up a sturdy-and pretty market bag at the SNAP counter, or insulated bags at Appleton and Pemaquid. If you want ice for your fish, Pemaquid still has it-just bring the bag or container.

Pemaquid Seafood & Lobster has some lovley mussels and fresh picked crabmeat. Haddock is firm and fresh and dresses up nicely with fresh microgreens and spring vegetables.

Hootenany intoduced it's granola themed breakfast pastry-lightly touched with cinnamon, It might dunk nicely in your coffee. And their salt bagels go well with spreadable cheeses, like the chipotle goat round at Appelton.

Kim at Shepherds & Such makes lovely and useful beeswax coated food wraps; these are starting to pop up as a reasoanable alternative to saran warap and other plastics. Check them out

Goranson has a growing list of fresh greens, braising mix and mesclun coming in now. The first baby chard showed up last week. Scoop up a few bags to satisfy your leafy green yearnings.

Stephanie at Hawthorne & Thistle has some more of those sweet baby booties, and some little catnip mice for your mouse patrol. She had her first lamb last week, expecting another dozen or so!

Carol at Borealis made up several batches of croutons a few weeks aago-crunchy bites of different loaves to make a salad very satisfying-good for just nibbling too.
