What's Your Earthkeeping Passion?
Sunday, April 23
10:30 a.m., Chapel

The First Church Green team will host a forum to help members of our community explore their earthkeeping passions and identify ways we can work through the church to live into those passions.

We will view a short video by climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe, listen to a report on 2016 United Methodist General Conference resolutions on creation care, consider a review of potential FUMC initiatives recommended by Rev. Tim Eberhart in his March 19 sermon and learn about the UMC General Board of Global Ministries' Earthkeepers certification. We will discuss potential summer book reads and offer an optional creation care-based labyrinth walk.
2017 Lyons Lecture
Saturday, April 29, 10 a.m., FUMC
Rev. Dr. Robin Meyers, Guest Speaker

"Can you imagine a church where there is no acceptable alternative to hope, no substitute for joy, and no excuse not to offer the same unconditional love to others that has been so freely lavished on us?"

Join us at this year's Lyons Lecture to hear more from distinguished author, speaker and preacher  Rev. Dr. Robin Myers. Register by Tuesday, April 25 to ensure we have a lunch for you that day.
