Sign Up Now for TLC After School: New Options This Year!

Registration is open for
TLC After School -- which has been providing opportunities for fun and learning since 2001!

Offered at all seven  schools, this affordable after school option -- part of Expanded Learning @ D63 -- is open to all PreK - 8th grade D63 students and features a wide range of educational, recreational, cultural, and social activities -- from homework help and STEAM activities to field trips and physical/wellness fun.

And this year we've added two new options:

An hour-long Homework Club at the end of the school day focuses entirely on homework completion.

An Early Dismissal Day Program keeps kids busy on days when our six elementary schools close at either 11:30 a.m. or 12:10 p.m. (depending on the school).

Session I kicks off on Monday, August 22 and your child must be registered by Monday, August 15 in order to attend on the first day. So don't wait. Learn more about TLC and download registration forms. See you after school!

Summer @ D63
While our students and their families enjoy the sun and fun of summer, D63 remains busy. Summer is a great time to tackle projects at our buildings -- and of course we still welcome students for a range of summer programs!

As the start of school approaches, our summer facilities improvements are wrapping up! Students will return to new windows at Apollo, and  new carpeting at Twain, Nelson, and Washington

Our Summer Learning Program will wrap up on July 29 after its fun-filled final weeks. This week, participants have been painting and decorating a Village of Niles snow plow blade to feature D63 and the Expanded Learning Program -- look for "our" blade next winter!

D63's Ready, Set, Kindergarten; ESL; and Extended Year summer programs finished yesterday (see banner photo) -- and our halls feel very quiet! Good thing our 3,600 students will fill the buildings in just a week or so.
