Teacher Conferences Begin Next Week

Have you signed up for your teacher conferences? Fall conferences are a great way to connect with your child's teacher, discuss academic progress, and learn how to best support your student at home. Here are a few tips for a successful conference:

Prepare. You'll learn more if you take some time to review your child's tests and homework before you meet. Bring a list of questions!

Make it a two-way conversation. Both you and the teacher should share and listen - you can learn from each other.

Be open to teacher feedback. Your child's teacher wants him/her to succeed! You may receive positive feedback and learn about areas for improvement. Discuss together how you can help your child with challenges.

Conferences will take place:

Thursday, November 17
5 - 8 p.m.
Regular school day.
Monday, November 21
8 - 11:30 a.m.; 1 - 3:30 p.m.; 5 - 8 p.m.
Schools closed.

Sign up instructions vary by school; check your school website for details.
