Gemini Shifts from Late Arrival to Early Dismissal

Beginning in January 2017, Gemini will eliminate its late arrival days and shift to early dismissal - coordinating with the D63 elementary schools. Start time on early dismissal days will be 7:40 a.m., school will be dismissed at 10:42 a.m.

The goal is to help families with students in both the elementary schools and the junior high coordinate their schedules -- and to give our teachers a chance to collaborate more easily.

The Gemini calendar has already been updated with the changes. You can also find the changes marked in red on our 2016-2017 Yearly Calendar at a Glance.

Take the 5Essentials Survey!

Be a part of the 5th annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey! Designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child's school, the survey gathers statewide feedback on a wide range of school-related effectiveness measures. All responses are anonymous.

Our District 63 teachers and 6th - 8th grade students will also participate; these report results will be sent to schools and districts in May 2017 and will also be included in the State School Report Card.
