Empowering all students to succeed in a changing world.
Get the Scoop: Join the PTO!

It's a new school year -- and a new opportunity to get involved, get the scoop, and stay in the loop through your school's Parent-Teacher Organization!

Most schools hold kick off meetings this month (some held meetings in August, but it's never too late!). Check your school's website for details. PTOs are a great way to connect with other parents, get to know school leaders, and make a difference for our students.

PARCC Scores Coming Home

By Friday, September 9, families of D63 students who participated in PARCC testing last spring  should receive their child's scores and a letter from their school principal providing some insight and background on the test and how to interpret your child's performance.

This is the second consecutive year our students have participated in the PARCC test, which measures problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and writing skills related to English language arts and math. But no test provides a complete picture of student performance; our skilled teaching staff uses many tools to assess student learning and achievement.

Check our PARCC webpages for more information and links to a range of parent resources.

Stevenson   students have been busy getting into the swing -- and the school's PTO has been busy planning its Open House -- and first meeting -- on September 21.

Washington  kicks off the PTO year with its first meeting on September 8. Students are busy preparing for a special assembly on September 12 that will feature the "Wildcat Rap" -- sure to be a hit!
