Glad Påsk från Sverige!
Happy Easter from Sweden!

We trust you had a wonderful time of worship during this past holy week!  It was so exciting for us to be able to celebrate Easter
in Sweden!  Spring is in the air.  The days are getting longer.  And at New Life Church Stockholm, people from scores of nations gathered together to worship.  The choir sang praises to God in 6 languages.  God is on the move in Sweden - and we are honored to have a part.
We could not be doing what God has called us to do without all of you - our faithful prayer and financial partners.  You come from 28 USA states and 8 different countries.  You are part of a team that believes in us and in what God wants to do in Sweden.  And we thank you with hearts full of gratitude for your sacrifices of time and resources.
This photo shows us riding on a regional train outbound from Stockholm.  We have been doing a lot of traveling lately - visiting and coaching church planters, teaching at a missions school, helping to lead a prayer summit and a leadership retreat, taking language classes - the pace is strenuous, but rewarding.  God is at work in amazing ways - and you are a part of our journey!

Thank you, dear friends!

Twelve Thousand Words

"A picture is worth a thousand words." Tess Flanders, 1911

Here are a few of the opportunities God has given us so far this year.

We started 2016 with a retreat for New Life leaders.  Jim spoke on principles of multiplication and Lynn spoke on the difference between spending time working for Jesus and spending time with Jesus.

Dreaming together about what God might do.
Here Jim is in Örebro with dear friends - Öyvind Tholvsen, Director of Church Development for the Evangeliska Frikyrkan (the Evangelical Free Church of Sweden) and Cahtrine Nygren, Director of Church Planting.

At Fridhemskyrkan - New Life's church site in the Kungsholmen district of Stockholm.  Here Viktor Paulsson (with his wife Hanna) and Jenny Wahlström are being installed as co-pastors.  Praying for them is John van Dinther, founder of the New Life Group.

Fika celebrating the end of 4 weeks of beginner Swedish.  Around this table are students from Australia, Spain, Montenegro, Iran, Latvia, Scotland and the USA.

Our ReachGlobal leaders and colleagues - Don Reynard and Brian Bennetch came to Stockholm to strategize with us.  Here we are in the old city - Gamla Stan.

Jim preaching at New Life Stockholm.  He was teaching on staying connected with God and made a point by taking a selfie during the sermon.  With him is translator Johanna Davén.  New Life's services are bilingual English/Swedish.

Lynn preaching at Fridhemskyrkan in Kungsholmen.
She taught on Jesus at the Pool of Bethesda and asked the question,
"Do you want to get well?"

Jesse and Derrin Mathews came to Sweden as our first church planter exchange.
They are experienced site leaders and pastors from the Aspen Grove Network in Minneapolis.  They graciously served New Life Västerås for 2+ months.

We had the opportunity to teach six sessions on leadership and ministry
 at the Örebro Missionsskola.

Praying for the city of Göteborg on Sweden's west coast.
At New Life Göteborg's Prayer Summit.

Staying connected with the high speed internet on board the train

Lunch with John and Ineke van Dinther.  Over 20 years ago, God brought them from
The Netherlands to Sweden - to love people into God's kingdom, to plant churches,
and to lead a movement.  It is our privilege to work alongside them.
God is on the move in the New Life Group.

Please continue to pray for us!

Pray for wisdom as we help lead the church multiplication movement
of the New Life Group
and for our dear new friends
as they seek to win their country to Christ.

Please pray for us as we coach Swedish church planters
 and come alongside movement leaders.

Please pray for health and protection as we serve.
The spiritual warfare in Sweden is challenging.
