Palm Sunday was a joyful occasion as we celebrated Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. And now we look to Good Friday which reminds us of Jesus' betrayal, the Last Supper, the garden, and the cross. We invite you to join us for a time of contemplation, worship, and communion on Friday evening at 7pm. Childcare will be provided.

Sunday morning we celebrate the central event in human history - the resurrection of Jesus. We hope to see you there - and we hope that you've invited friends and family. Remember that people are more likely to come to church at Easter than any other time of year, so extend an invitation!

After the service, stop by the Cafe to see our new exhibit, Donam Gratia, celebrating God's gifts of grace and mercy. Many of our Houston Vineyard artists have contributed to this show.

See you Sunday!

Houston Welcomes Refugees

To find out more about volunteering with us in any capacity - the best way is to fill out the Connect form on our website or email us.
Our biggest need is for Welcome Team Leaders and Welcome Team Members. Based on the overwhelming number of inquiries we have received, we ask that you RSVP to the orientation you plan to attend. This will help us make sure there are enough supplies and chairs for everyone as well as keep you up to date if there are room changes within the building.
What are our biggest tangible needs?
Recently, Houston Welcomes Refugees was gifted a space for operational purposes. You can help us make this space functional so we can serve more families by donating here . We are collecting Fiesta and Walmart Gift Cards in increments of $50 or less to help us welcome the families well and assist them in financial emergencies. We are still collecting Welcome Kits and our upcoming Welcome Kit collection are April 22 and May 20th.

Free the Captives -
meals for summer job program participants
June 6 to Aug. 11, 2017 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
We are looking for churches to deliver hot meals for our girls to have lunch during the summer while they are working, developing job skills, and doing Bible study. Would your church consider picking 4 to 6 dates during that time to bring meals?

Location: For the summer of 2017, we are meeting near the Houston Food Bank on 535 Portwall St, Houston, TX 77029. This is not our actual address but an approximation to help you determine your driving distance. Once you have signed up for your dates, Sheila Whittle will contact you with the address.  **Please keep our new location confidential.**

Time: Each meal should feed 30 people and be delivered between 10:30am and 11:00am on your designated day.
Here is the link to sign up for dates and more info about the meals:
