Giving Can Feel Great

The young filmmakers in the Echoes project give themselves every day to the task of sharing truthful, intimate, and sometimes painful stories that shed light on the brokenness of the criminal justice system. It's a difficult process: long hours studying cameras, lugging equipment around the city, and agonizing over edits. But for all of us, it feels great to be working thoughtfully and creatively to make our society more just.

In recent years, the majority of Americans have woken up to how destructive, biased, and wasteful our current criminal justice system has become.  In congress there has been broad, bi-partisan support for criminal justice reform.  However, largely due to a tsunami of fake news and fear mongering, that reform has been set back.  While it feels good to wallow for a while, it feel much better to get back to work, and fight fake news with truthful, powerfully crafted stories.

In this season of giving, we hope you consider supporting our unique blend of youth development, journalism, and creative storytelling.

Below is some highlights from our past year, so you can see the kind of activities your funds go to support.

We thank you for your support over the past year and look forward to giving our all in the years to come.
