If you've enjoyed these and so many more local documentaries produced by or aired on WMHT, please join us for the signature event of the University Club's Celebration of New York State History Month, a cocktail reception honoring WMHT Educational Telecommunications.
At the reception, Robert Altman, President and CEO of WMHT Educational Telecommunications, will accept the University Club's Donald O. Meserve Award for Achievement in History and Culture. For more than 50 years, WMHT has produced programming of the highest quality about the Capital Region's history and culture. Through this documentary storytelling, WMHT has expanded our understanding of the people and places that define our region, and fostered an enduring pride of place among local residents.
The cost for the reception, which includes light fare and cash bar, is $30 and reservations are required. The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the program, featuring clips from the documentaries above, as well as a sneak preview of some of WMHT's upcoming history documentaries, commencing at 7:00 p.m. Participants are invited to stay for the after party from 8:00 - 10:00 p.m. with swing, standards and rock from alt-folk diva Mother Judge and friends.
