Echoes Crew at the White House

It's been an exciting few months, culminating in trip to the White House on October 8th.  The crew travelled to DC, screened our newest film, and two crew members spoke on a panel about their experiences as children with incarcerated parents. The event was sponsored by the White House and the Departments of Justice, and Health of Human Services.  In the audience were many criminal justice decision-makers including the director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. More about the trip from our partner organization Downtown Community Television here, and on the White House blog here

Next film on visiting nearly finished

Our next film explores the experience of children visiting their parents in prison.  This has been our most intense production to date, and we're very excited to get the piece out there in the world. We filmed in two state prisons, including Sing Sing - where crew member Kharon Benson interviewed his father - and Bedford Hills, where we partnered with Hour Children and followed kids visiting their mothers at the Bedford Hills Children's Center.

As always, we'll make the film available for free once it's released.
