Ecoforests present at the European Alternative Investment Conference ( September 30- October 2, Monte Carlo, Monaco)

Ecoforests was present this past month at the European Alternative Investing Summit. The summit was to discuss the current trends, strategies and mitigating risk in the Alternative investment industry.

The summit brought together a great deal of industry leaders, Pension Funds and investors.

It is clear that with the active uncertainty of the capital markets and the notorious banking scandals that have fueled the business media over the last few years, more and more investors and institutions are considering alternative options to create wealth with out having a direct connection to the capital markets. Some of the investments discussed include water, forestry, agriculture, alternative energy and real estate.

Latin America again has demonstrated why it is a region to be reckoned with. The 2013 World Bank's 'Doing Business' report, released last night, shows that meaningful political and economic reforms have made a remarkable difference in how well the countries are positioned to attract investments. A total of five countries rose in the ranking, with particular praise going toward Colombia, Costa Rica and Chile.
