The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia approved Dalton State College's application to offer a bachelor of arts degree in communication, bringing to 22 the number of four-year degrees offered by the College.   The new program is effective fall 2016.  

The Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce 2016 Business Expo at the Dalton Convention Center was a huge success with more than 700 visitors! 

Design, Engineering and Manufacturing Camp (Camp DEM) is a summer camp designed to give students the opportunity to learn about design, engineering, fabrication, carpet design, career exploration, robotics and electronics.

The cost of camp is totally underwritten by industry and is free to students.  The sixth camp just wrapped up earlier this month and a seventh camp is anticipated in June 2017.  This year there were 117 middle school students that attended the camp.
