Winery Wanted

As recruitment for a brewery continues, efforts to locate a winery are taking off. Attaining a winery and brew pub are part of the city's downtown revitalization initiative. Leads are encouraged to call Gainesville Economic Development Corporation at

The Gainesville Outlet Mall
Under New Ownership

Gainesville's once thriving outlet mall was recently purchased by local company, B29 Investments. Buildings are available for mixed-use potential: retail, office/medical space, or even an educational campus. Restaurant pad sites on the I-35 frontage road are also available. 

Applebee's will move to previous Tex-Mex favorite, Serna's, by this May. Applebee's original building will become available for lease.

First State Bank
Meet the New Headquarters

First State Bank has outgrown their present headquarters on California Street and are expanding to the northeast corner of I-35 and HWY 82 at the new Clear Creek Retail development. The bank plans to break ground in the next few mo nths and are targeting a move-in date of December 2018.

The new building will be five stories at approximately 65,000 square feet. It will accommodate 200 people when fully occupied. Retail banking will continue at the California St. location.

One of Three Restaurants Confirmed 

Also coming to the new Clear Creek Retail development ( the northeast corner of I-35 and HWY 82) is Panda Express. Two additional restaurants are anticipated to join also.
Liberty Apartments
Luxury, Market-Rate Apartments

Construction continues for Gainesville's new downtown apartment complex located just south of the Civic Center, east of I-35. The community will offer one, two and three-bedroom apartment homes. 

All 240 units will include fully equipped kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, as well as in-home washers and dryers. Residents will also have access to a resort-style pool and fitness center. Leasing is slated to open June 2017.

Schlotzsky's
Sandwiches Available Summer 2017

Austin-based sandwich shop, Schlotzsky's, is scheduled to open June 2017 on the northwest corner of I-35 and California Street. The site will also be home to a retail center owned by Schlotzsky's developers. Two additional restaurants and a retail store are currently being recruited.

Farm-Themed Housing Development
