My heart is heavy as I read the news about the severe flooding that has struck West Virginia once again. We were trying to get some recognition on the floor of the Assembly so that they might offer prayers for those who have been affected by the floods but weren't able to get the message through. We should have tried harder. Tomorrow I'll try to talk to someone from the Presbyterian Disaster Agency to see how they might be able to help.
The Assembly began at 8:30 AM. We didn't adjourn until almost 11:30 PM and that was only because there was concerns about commissioners getting back to their hotels before the light rail system stopped running for the night. Continue reading by clicking here.
