Education Listening Session Information -
Sponsored by the House Education Committee
The House Education Committee has announced legislative listening sessions throughout the state over the course of 2016. The next of these sessions is scheduled for Tuesday, August 16, in Tifton, GA.

In preparation for the 2017 legislative session and the debate on the Education Reform Commission's pay for performance and Move on When Ready recommendations, it is very important that educators attend these meetings. Please come prepared to discuss these issues as well as issues surrounding the ongoing debate about the appropriate level of student testing. These issues, as well as the critical topic of reading instruction, will all be items of discussion and legislation in January and educator input is needed NOW. Please be candid with your comments - it is important that legislators hear what is happening in Georgia's classrooms.
