From Seamus Heaney to Billy Collins to Walt Whitman, IPTV has hundreds of videos of various poets, celebrities, and people on the street reading poetry in unique ways. A great method to better understand pacing and breath when reading poems, these videos can help your students make a deeper connection and meaning in the poetry they read and write.

 | Unforgettable: The Korean War
Grade Range: 6-8, 9-12
A diverse group of Korean War Veterans recall their memories, experiences, and emotions of the war. The program goes beyond the battle stories to recount the aftermath of the war and serves as a reminder that no war, nor the people involved in it, can or should truly be forgotten.

Iowa Capitol Virtual Tour
Grade Range: 4-6
Take an interactive virtual tour of the Iowa State Capitol via the ICN. In the session, students explore the 188-year-old building from the rough-cut stone sub-basement to the golden dome. Sessions are designed to be highly interactive so please work with students to prepare thoughtful, appropriate questions.

Life on the Prairie Grade Range: 3-6 Visit with a pioneer woman (a naturalist from the Polk County Conservation Board) as she shares how the Iowa landscape has changed and what effects it's having on Iowa wildlife. She will also explain what life was like on the prairie during the 19th century. Learn More >> Legislative Process in Iowa: Keeping Pace with State Government Grade Range: 9-12 This ICN presentation, sponsored by the Iowa General Assembly and IPTV, provides an in-depth look into the legislative process and allows students to experience the process in new ways. On the morning of the presentation, an Iowa Capitol Tour Guide will travel to each school and conduct a classroom orientation to further learn about the legislative process.
