CyberchaseCyberchase Has a New, Interactive Website
Grade Range: 3-5, 6-8
PBS Kids has just launched a newly redesigned Cyberchase website with a fresh look, awesome new features, and for the first time, all of Cyberchase's multimedia math content in one place. The new site offers an enhanced video player to watch 94 full-length episodes, videos in Spanish, and a games area that features 50 interactive math games.

pbs kids labsPBS KIDS Lab: Kids Experimenting in Math and Technology
Grade Range: PreK-3
PBS has launched over 40 new cross-platform games designed to help children build critical math skills. They include PBS KIDS' largest offering of interactive math content for preschoolers to date. Available for free on the new PBS KIDS Lab website, each suite links a set of games across platforms--accessible through computers, mobile devices, and interactive whiteboards, so that kids engage with the same characters as they move from device to device.

poetryIPTV's Video Poetry Collection
Grade Range: 6-8, 9-12
From Seamus Heaney to Billy Collins to Walt Whitman, IPTV has hundreds of videos of various poets, celebrities, and people on the street reading poetry in unique ways. A great method to better understand pacing and breath when reading poems, these videos can help your students make a deeper connection and meaning in the poetry they read and write.

Grade Range: 6-8, 9-12
This series provides a new perspective to the growth and development of several significant ancient cultures. Unique accomplishments, innovative governance, and incredible developments in architecture, empire building, and culture are highlighted.

Iowa Capitol Virtual Tour
Grade Range: 4-6
Take an interactive virtual tour of the Iowa State Capitol via the ICN. In the session, students explore the 188-year-old building from the rough-cut stone sub-basement to the golden dome. Sessions are designed to be highly interactive so please work with students to prepare thoughtful, appropriate questions.

Life on the Prairie

Grade Range: 3-6

Visit with a pioneer woman (a naturalist from the Polk County Conservation Board) as she shares how the Iowa landscape has changed and what effects it's having on Iowa wildlife. She will also explain what life was like on the prairie during the 19th century.
