Eight Premier Championships Visit Pittsburgh International Race Complex for High-energy Inaugural Event

Keystone Speedfest kicks-off in August with Trans Am, the F1600 Championship Series, the F2000 Championship Series, the Atlantic Championship Series, F4 U.S. and F3 Americas
PITTSBURGH (June 18, 2018)-  For the first time in the Keystone state, fans will witness eight high-energy championship series during one action-packed road racing weekend. Pittsburgh International Race Complex will play host to the Keystone Speedfest Aug 3-5 in a joint event featuring the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli's TA, TA3, and TA4 classes, Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, Formula Race Promotions' F1600 Championship Series, F2000 Championship Series and Atlantic Championship Series along with the world debut of the F3 Americas Championship Powered by Honda.

The inaugural event will include a fleet of cars from each series competing on the track's newly expanded 2.8 miles, 19-turn road course. "We are thrilled to have these premiere racing series coming to Pittsburgh International Race Complex. It's an honor to have the debut of F3 Americas during this weekend," said Pittsburgh International Race Complex Director of Sales and Marketing Dominic Cincotta. "Spectators will be treated to quite a show with so many varied cars and manufacturers present at one event. We hope to see spectator hill crowded with roaring fans as we open our gates to this great event."

Hailing from Pittsburgh, Chris Archinaco is slated to compete for the first time in his hometown, driving the F4 U.S. No. 35 Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Century Auto Racing machine. Harrisburg- native Kerry Hitt, driver of the No. 19 Advanced Composite Products Cadillac CTS-V Trans Am, and Formula Atlantic pilot Rich Zober will also represent Pennsylvania. The weekend will commence on Fri., Aug. 3, with gates opening at 8:00 a.m. All series will participate in practice or testing sessions that will run throughout the day until 5:40 p.m.

Also hailing from the Pittsburgh area will be F1600 racer Charles Anti, in the No. 26 Mygale/Honda.

On Sat., Aug. 4, gates open at 8:00 a.m. with qualifying and practices filling the first half of the day. Race events start after lunch, offering fans nearly four hours of action-packed racing. On Sun., Aug 5, fans will experience racing from all series with on-track activities starting at 8:15 a.m. The weekend festivities will conclude at 5:15 p.m. (All schedules subject to change)

Advanced general admission tickets and VIP packages which include climate-controlled seating, catered lunch with drivers and a pace car ride are available for purchase at  KeystoneSpeedfest.com.  BOGO three-day ticket specials run through July 18 (Buy one three-day GA ticket at $40 get the second ticket for just $20). General admission tickets will also be available at the gate on the day of the event. Children 12 years and younger are admitted for free. Parking is free all weekend.
