Netherlands (Apr 23, 2012)
Dutch Prime Minister Mark RUTTE resigned Monday triggering snap parliamentary elections for September 12. The fall of RUTTE’s 18-month old government was caused by the refusal of a coalition ally, the right-wing Freedom Party, to support the government’s austerity package.
France (Apr 22, 2012)
French President Nicolas SARKOZY will face Socialist challenger François HOLLANDE after the two candidates moved on from the first round of presidential elections on Sunday.
