Election Reaction

Greetings!

In the middle of election night, equity markets around the world were falling at a significant rate as the likelihood of a Trump victory was becoming reality. The U.S. markets unexpectedly rebounded sharply and have continued their rally a week following, setting new record highs here in the U.S. Equity markets around the world have not fared as well. At the same time, yields on the 10 year Treasury have risen sharply back over 2.2%, about where they started the year.

W hile markets have reacted sharply in the short-term, it's important to keep your investment time frame in perspective. As you can imagine, we have been inundated with views and outlooks from many money managers. We have gathered a few opinions for your review:

Fantastic 45 Funds

Russell Kinnel, the director of manager research at Morningstar, has come out with his annual list of "Fantastic Funds." Using strict criteria, 45 funds pass through from a universe of over 8,000. Once again, American Funds lands a large percentage (11 of the 45) of funds on the list.
