Eleven Years Ago, and Today:
A Tribute to My Son's Tenacity
Eleven years ago, my three beautiful children were waiting for the arrival of spring. We had snow on the ground and were still digging out from the blizzard we had in December 2016. J.T. was attending Karate, riding his bike around the neighborhood, and we were happy. I remember very distinctly the Saturday before J.T. passed we were driving around in the "big redneck truck," the five of us. The kids were singing the songs on the radio in the backseat, and I thought to myself, "I need to remember this moment. It doesn't get any better than this."

The next day, J.T. began to feel like he was coming down with something. By Monday we knew it was the flu. Five days later, that Friday, my J.T. was gone.

Okay, I'm going to stop right there, because J.T. is already critiquing my writing. He says, "I wasn't gone, Mom. You just couldn't see me." Yes, he is correct. As I would find through the twists and turns of grief, and the breadcrumbs he left for me to follow, he wasn't gone.

Through it all, he never gave up on me. He continued to push hard, bringing me signs, messages through others, and 2x4's upside my head to make sure I knew he was okay. He was very much still here. I didn't know what that meant at first, but within a very short time, I would learn what all of this meant for me and for him. I would learn I was a medium, the bridge between our world and the other world where J.T. took residence, and that he was my "lifeline," the constant in a sea of change and uncertainty. He still makes sure I know he's around when I need him, especially this time of year.

I really don't like March, for obvious reasons. This year, March 30th (his angelversary, as we call it) falls on a Friday, the same day of the week as in 2007. And Sunday, April 1st, two days later (Easter this year) is the day we planned our son's funeral and picked out a casket for him. I believe this is why I am struggling a bit this year with J.T. not being here. Not to mention the flu epidemic and hearing his brother's horrible cough from the other room as I write this. I tell ya, it's hard to not freak out just a little bit.

Again, the critic enters the room. "Don't worry, Mom. He will be fine. You know this."

Yes, I do know this, only because I keep asking you, and I TRUST you. I know you wouldn't lie to me, dear son. So I take a deep breath and know this will pass. I TRUST I won't be burying another child.

Honestly, if J.T.'s siblings knew how many times I've asked their brother for advice about them, and how he knows so much more about what they need sometimes than I do, they would thank him a million times over. He is always there when I need answers about what to do, not only with his siblings, but with everything. And if I'm not listening, in come the 2x4s again..."MOM! You don't have to do it that way. How about trying to do it this way?" Oh, I say. I hadn't thought of that. And then he smiles.

I don't know where I would be without his guidance, his perspective, and his love.

So, here we are, eleven years later, and even though I say it each and every day, I will say it again. Thank you, dear son, for being my lighthouse, showing me the way through the storms of life. And for never giving up on me.
I love you with all my heart and soul.

"I love you, too, Mom."

And then he smiles.
New Online Series Created by J.T.!
About the Finding Your Light Series

This is an online series that includes a monthly meditation, audio instruction and workbook for each segment of the series. Since this is online, you have access to it 24/7, and can even download all the materials to take with you on the go!

Here's what J.T. says about the series:

"We all have this beautiful light within that shines brightly and guides us on our path. Sometimes, due to circumstances beyond our control (and some within our control), that light dims and is hard to find in the chaos of our daily life.

The Finding Your Light Series is about reigniting that beautiful spark within you, helping you find your light, and help others find their light as well. Your light is a lighthouse others seek to find their way in the storm. When your light is dim, how can you be who you are supposed to be or help others on their path?

During this series, we will use meditations, writing, introspection, and connection with our Highest Self. We will work on removing the “junk” that has accumulated, dimming our light, lifting the weight of our experiences so we can shine. Having connection with our Highest Self increases our light beyond this world. We are infinite beings. It is time to release your illusion of limitations and of who you think you are. Reach for the stars because that is where you will find your light!

You are ready for this, and we are here to help." -J.T. Baptista

Is there something you wish you could have said to your loved one before they passed?

Do you ever wonder if they see what you are doing now?

Have you received signs and messages from them and just want to know they are OK?

We miss our loved ones when they pass. We wonder where they are and what they might be doing now. Are they watching over us? Are they in Heaven? Where is Heaven, anyway?

Sarina understands these questions firsthand. Her seven year old son, J.T., passed suddenly in March 2007. Through his passing, though, Sarina discovered an incredible gift — she could communicate with her son and with others’ loved ones!

Advanced purchase of tickets is recommended!

Please note: This is a gallery style reading, which means your loved ones decide who receives readings. Not everyone in attendance will receive a reading.
Tween/Teen Intuitives Workshop
Age Level: 11yrs – 18yrs
This class is for tweens and teens between the ages of 11 and 18.

School (and life) can be very overwhelming for our tweens and teens. Learning about energy and how to manage it can greatly assist our kids in being able to cope with day to day issues.

In this class, we will discuss how to manage our energy, bring more energy in, keep others out of our energy, tune into the others’ vibrations so we know if they are telling the truth and for our highest good. You will leave with tools so you don’t take on other people’s stuff and keep your energy clear.
Parents are welcome to stay for the class.

When: Sunday, April 15th 12pm to 2pm
Where: New Thought Northern Colorado Center for Spiritual Living, 5628 McWhinney Blvd., Loveland, CO. 80538
Cost: $25
Pre-registration is strongly suggested
August 10 , 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Have you ever wondered what your loved one is doing now in heaven? Why they left? Do you long to tell them one more thing?

After the passing of her seven-year-old son, Sarina Baptista discovered she could talk to J.T., and others’ loved ones. J.T. taught her how to teach this connection to others by developing this special workshop.

Based upon the concept of automatic writing, we use meditation and intention to set the environment where you will write a letter to your loved one, and have them answer it! Your loved ones want this connection, and will be there for you! They have so much to tell you! We hope you can join Sarina, J.T., and your loved ones on the other side, for this incredible workshop!

Taking Advantage of Moon Energy: use it or lose it
New Moon - March 17th 7:11am MDT

The new moon is in Pisces, but very close to moving over to Aries. Pisces is about how we relate to the Universe, how we are one with every other living thing around us. We are the part of the whole, and we are the whole, at the same time. This new moon gives us the extra energy to connect with our Divine Selves. It is a great time to begin a new meditative practice or program (like the Finding Your Light series ;-)) and release the old ideas about who you are. You are one with the Universe, and the Universe is one with you.

It is also the end of the zodiac year, which means cleaning up your spiritual junk and entering the new year (Vernal Equinox on 3/20 at 10:15am MDT) fresh and new. Don't carry your excess baggage with you anymore. Remember, we are in an 11 year - Spiritual self discovery! Use the new moon to your advantage and let go of the old ways.
Full Blue Moon - March 31st 6:36am MDT

The blue moon is in Libra, represented by the scales. The blue moon, or second moon in a calendar month has very special energy. With the sun in Aries, we believe anything is possible. We can see the world as a brand new experience. With that, the full moon asks you to take time to understand those with whom you have conflict, and see it from their perspective. On the full moon, ask for your Divine Helpers to release the blocks you have to see others' perspectives so you can understand their actions and motivations. What does this gain for you? If you can see it through their eyes, you can determine what you need to do for you! Bring balance to your life by seeing the big picture!
Regardless of my fondness (or lack thereof) of March, it marks the seasons' transition to spring. Spring is the time of renewal and rebirth. This includes our energy as creatures inhabiting this planet, as well as the other Earth creatures and lifeforms. If you look around, you will see signs of renewal everywhere. Now is the time to plant our seeds for the rest of the year. Just as winter is about introspection and understanding where we have been, spring is about seeding for the future, putting those revelations we discovered about ourselves during our hibernation into a new plan for our future.

One of the things we do during the next couple of months is our Spring Cleaning. We open the windows to let the fresh air into our space. We clean out the sweaters from our closets and get ready for warmer days.

This is true for our energy also. Refreshing, or Spring Cleaning our energy gives us a new perspective on who we are and what we need to do to get to the next level on our earthly journey.

To help you with your energetic Spring Cleaning, I am offering a new session called...you guessed it! The Spring Cleaning Session. You will learn tools to freshen your energy - out with the old and in with the new! Your Divine Helpers will also offer insight into your upcoming season of spring. This is a great session for anyone who feels a bit stagnant where they are, needs an energy lift, and maybe a little guidance about what's ahead. These sessions can be done in person or by phone. Click the button below to book your session!

We (your Divine Helpers, J.T., and I) look forward to assisting you!

Namaste and Many Blessings,
Sarina Baptista
